Rape of Man in Harrow.

On July 23, 2025, Bruke Desalagne, a 32-year-old man with no fixed address, was charged with the rape of a man in his 60s outside St John’s Church on Station Road, Harrow, London, at approximately 12:50 AM.

At this stage I cannot verify through the police or court records, regarding how long Desalagne has been in the UK. His status as having “no fixed address” suggests to me he is homeless - however Desalagne is possibly from Ethiopian, but not confirmed .

The victim, an unnamed man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Police to help him navigate the trauma of this violent assault.

This horrific incident highlights the growing concern that non of our streets are safe, as such attacks can occur even in the early hours in seemingly quiet areas.

The randomness and brutality of the crime have amplified fears about public safety, with the police increasing their presence in Harrow to reassure the community. They have stated the incident is isolated, but it highlights the vulnerability of individuals to predatory violence, particularly at night.

The alleged rapist was arrested at the scene and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on July 24, 2025. The police are seeking information from the public via 101 or Crime-stoppers at 0800 555 111 to assist with the investigation.
